Lighting Specifications

Sixteen 500 Watt Par-cans operated by a 'PULSAR NK2 Rock' 12 Channel desk.
One 'ANYTRONICS Superstar 2' 125 Watt strobe operated by an 'ANYtronics extension multi-speed controller'.

One 'JEM ZR22 DMX' smoke machine operated by a 'JEM Multi-Function Controller.
All controllers are operated from FOH position.

Stage Specifiactions

 

Stage specifications

Stage size is 24'6" wide, 18'4" deep narrowing to 15'5" deep stage left, 18" high.
We have a drum riser 8' wide by 6ft deep by 18" high. A security barrier will be in place across the front of the stage at all times when bands are playing, this is a requirement for insurance purposes and cannot be removed.

Miscellaneous Info:

Dressing rooms:
Main Dressing Room is on the same floor as the stage but has no direct access. There is a private toilet and shower in the dressing room.
There is a smaller support dressing room one floor down but it has no toilet or shower.

Production Office:
There is a small production office that is shared between Tour Manager and show rep. It has a phone, fax machine and access to the internet.

Load In:
Load In is up two sets of stairs. A minimum of two crew will be available to assist with Load In - Load Out.

Parking:
There is no reserved parking outside the venue. There is usually room to park a tour bus approx 30 meters from the front of the club but we cannot guarantee this space. We can supply shore power. Vans or Splitter vehicles must be moved from this space after load in or risk being removed by the police. There are two small public car parks approx 100 meters from the venue.
Please Note - CPL will not be held responsible for parking fines.

Show Running Times:
Our usual running times are:
Load In 3pm (please note, no access before this time) Soundcheck 5pm
With these variations: Sunday to Thursday:
Three Band Bill: Doors 8pm 1st Band 8.20-8.50 2nd Band 9.10-9.40 Headline Act 10.00-11.00
Two Band Bill: 1st Band 8.30-9.00 Headline 9.30-11.00
There is no set curfew but most public transport ends at 11.30pm, so we like to have shows finish by 11pm.
Friday: As above but all times 1 hour earlier, e.g.: Doors 7pm. We also have a strict 10pm curfew.
Saturday: Shows on Saturdays are part of our Voodoo, Under 18's club. The club opens on one floor at 5pm but the gig floor does not open until sound checks are finished.
We usually only have 1 band, stage time to be determined by set length, finishing at 9.30pm when the club finishes.

Union St runs down the east side of Central Station
The club is on the right hand side at the bottom of Union St, which is one way, directly across from KFC.
